Schooling
Online schooling is a great way to learn everything you need to know about cameras and photography while keeping costs down, and keeping a more open schedule.
Photography school will help you understand how to make the most of bad situations, and allow you to become the best photographer you can be, with the tools you have. With that said, you can still become successful without schooling.
Practice and a Portfolio
Perhaps the most important part about becoming a photographer is to just do it. Go out and take pictures.. Of everything! Learning in the field is the best way to get the hang of it, and will allow you to get a lot of pictures to show off to potential clients.
